I have the newest Maggie Atwood book! Need to hunker down and read it. i have gone through some of the hymns... I've heard there is a music CD of the hymns to be had. I'm going to make a book list for this winter and sit idly by, near the cook wood stove and read.

I just finished the Twilight series..not terribly impressed but the overall story was good. I just wanted to mention 2 movies I saw the other day.

Two excellent movies..must see really....Lars and the Real Girl...I heard about it from a friend and then read a little blurb about it in Harrowsmith magazine..(its a canadian mag)...saying thumbs up to small town living and how they help this young man who has some issues. i love claire garland's knitting books. i've already made one teddy bear and am working on the "non-test" version of another. i got another book from the library to make dolls. i think they're just awesome cuz you make all the clothes for the little guys as well (saves my family from having me make them stuff!)

Kit's Law by Donna Morrissey, what an awesome read. For those who are unfamiliar with Newfoundland, you'd still love the flow of the book. Gotta love those "Blue Arse Flies" and Lizzy's comment about folks not minding their own business "Be the Jesus, you can't fart around here without them crawlin' up your hole to have a look" I've had this book on my shelf for a few years now but its finally made the to read lit and i'm so glad I picked it...

My sis used the Sign, Sing and Play Kit with her DS quite successfully, so dad just picked it up for DD too. I'd looked through it when I was in Winnipeg and it looked good. Any other experiences with this kit? I can update later

Has anyone else seen this movie.. I've seen it at least 6 times. Each time I discover something I missed. The story is based in Wawa Ontario! I'm trying to find the sound track, especially the song by the Drifters (Japanese band) Notteru Ondo is the name o the song... it seems impossible to find!
